Location was the only plus during my 4-night stay. After requesting cleaning, the manager accused us of lying and became aggressive, leading to our early departure on a busy holiday weekend. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, leaving me vowing never to choose this hotel chain again.

Our family enjoyed being close to the Battery Promenade, where we could stroll around and enjoy the views of Fort Sumter. The hotel had a pool that kept the kids entertained after a long day of exploring Charleston. Perfect for our large group of 7 kids!
My wife says that check-in could be improved with better front desk assistance. They seemed overwhelmed and took a while to address our requests, which made settling in a bit hectic.

The location puts you right in the historic core, perfect for strolling over to nearby dining spots or attractions. The fitness center offers some useful gear for breaking a sweat, and the swimming pool provides a nice escape from the southern heat.
Ground floor rooms have significant issues, with a strong presence of paint and mildew smells that detracted from the comfort. It's frustrating to be moved around due to these persistent odors, and even after transitioning to a second-floor room, it remained humid with a lingering mildew scent. There was even a noticeable hole in the wall next to the AC, leaving the space feeling less than clean. On top of that, parking fees hit unexpectedly, adding to the overall cost.
